Lenten Spiritual Exercises

A series of short talks, based on the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, will be given by Fr. Peter Tammearu at 8:30am in the Church, preceding the Saturday morning Mass.
  • February 27: Entering into Retreat and Praying with Scripture
  • March 6: Particular Examen
  • March 13: General Examination of Conscience
  • March 20: Preparing for Confession

This is an opportunity to refresh your own spirituality during the penitential season of Lent, in order to prepare to receive the Easter Eucharist with great joy. Notes from these talks may be found at Faith Development.

The Faith Explained Conference
Saturday, March 27, 2010, 9:00am-3:00pm at
St. Justin Martyr Parish

"What is Truth?"

Join us for a one-day conference at Saint Justin's that you'll never forget, from our friends at The Faith Explained Seminars (www.thefaithexplained.com).

We will explore the concept of relativism, so pervasive in our society today, which claims that truth does not exist, and that there is no one system of belief superior to any other. How do we as Catholics respond, who follow Jesus as "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6)? Speakers include Cale Clarke, Director of The Faith Explained Seminars, Dr. Leslie Tomory of the University of Toronto, and Anthony Schratz, director of Ernescliff College at the University of Toronto. Click here for a brochure of the conference.
