Does the experience of having received the fire of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation becomes a nice, childhood memory, or does it become more than that?

What is this Post-Confirmation Experience?

It is a process of understanding

God’s Word, not just with the mind but with the heart.

It gives youth the opportunity to know and experience the love of Christ through a deeper contact with Scriptures, in a relaxed and comfortable environment where they can feel at Home!

It is not an extension of the school curriculum (Thank God!), and does not take place in a classroom setting. It is being used successfully with youth in Europe, parts of the United States and even here in Canada, and it is intended to develop character, and more meaningful family living. The youth learn how to deepen their relationship with Jesus, and then, through that relationship, strengthen their relationships with parents, family, friends, and community.

There is a ripple effect that everyone benefits from. All that is required is a willingness to allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in us!

 

Who may participate?

The program is designed for teenagers who have received Confirmation from ages 13 to 19. However, it can be adjusted for children preparing to receive Confirmation (Grades 7 & 8). Participants are grouped with the same-aged peers. In other words: grade 7’s are together, and grade 8’s are together, and so on.
